What it is

Aruaru is the pattern where you name a small thing that reliably happens inside a defined group, and the laugh comes from the room recognizing it.

It arrives in two parts, and the bracket comes first.

Remote-work aruaru: on a camera-off call, your posture degrades one vertebra at a time until you are essentially horizontal.

What it is

Tendon is the pattern where a line or an event that landed once is brought back and delivered again — after leaving a gap.

The first delivery does not have to be funny. Its job is to put something in the room’s memory. The second delivery collects it. What produces the laugh is the sensation of return: oh — that again.
